November 15th – November 17th, 2024
Join the thousands for the 27th Annual Ferdinand Christkindlmarkt…
Enjoy the delights of Christmas in an Olde World Setting!
In Germany, Christmas wares and gifts are sold in the festival-style setting of Christkindlmarkt. During Advent, toy makers, basket weavers, wood carvers, candle makers, and other artisans set up booths before the local church, where browsers select. The custom began in the 14th century and continues today in Ferdinand, Indiana’s charming “Bavarian” village.
Ferdinand’s Christkindlmarkt is one of the most authentic in the United States and has been voted one of the Top 100 National Events by the American Bus Association.
Markt sites are located indoors throughout town. Parking is free, as is the optional shuttle service between market sites, admission, and entertainment on Saturday.
Thousands will gather in Ferdinand, Indiana, to help kick off their Christmas season. The festivities begin with Christkindlmarkt Eve, a beautiful traditional ceremony that opens up this year’s events that span the following two days.
